Fan-tastic Vents
These are fantastic vents and I really suggest that you buy two fully automatic version of this fan. Capabilities include three fan speeds the slowest is incredible quiet and relatively low current draw and the highest moves a lot of air helping cool the coach. It includes a reverse switch to reverse the fan so the unit either exhausts the coach air or is set to pull in fresh air and a thermostat to operate the fan to maintain a desired temperature. The water sensor detects rain and closed the vent cover to protect the motor home's interior.
By having a reversible fan one unit can be set to exhaust as the other can be set to pump in air allowing you to park the coach in a parking area securely with all the windows closed while you shop or sightsee. The thermostat helps maintain a comfortable temperature in your coach as long as you keep the solar gain down to a minimum by closing all the window coverings.
The only problem that I have encountered is with the rain sensor. When the units aren't exhausting air in the cooler early morning hours dew settles on the sensor and triggers the cover to close which quickly evaporates and opens again over and over until I wake to turn off the unit. The unit should include a setting to shut down the unit in the event of a single water sensor trigger.
These are incredible fans; they are a modernized upgrade to a classic dome fan that can be used to retrofit any existing fan.
